MLDNET - Mango Leaf Disease Diagnosis Using Techniques of Deep Learning
Mangoes are among the most widely grown crops in India, with the country producing around 50% of the world's mangoes. While crops are sometimes affected by uncontrollable natural disasters, they are more often impacted by pests and diseases. Early detection of these issues can prevent their spread. Diseases in mango crops can lead to significant economic losses, which is especially concerning for a country like India, where 40% of the population depends on agriculture. Traditional methods of disease detection are often slow and ineffective, leading to large losses by the time the issue is identified. New detection techniques, such as those based on ResNet-50, offer a more efficient solution. This research focuses on using ResNet-50 for disease detection in mango crops.
