Analysis of Aging Influences on Lithium-ion Batteries for Electrical Energy Storage under Different Stress Conditions
Lithium-ion batteries, as a key component of electrical energy storage systems, play a crucial role in determining the performance and cost-effectiveness of these systems. With the increasing application of energy storage technologies in renewable energy integration and grid stabilization, understanding the aging characteristics of batteries under complex operating conditions has become particularly important. This study identifies four typical operating stress types-current, SOC range, temperature, and current fluctuation frequency-based on the analysis of actual operating conditions of energy storage systems. Nine sets of cyclic aging experiments were conducted using orthogonal experimental design. The results indicate that temperature has the most significant impact on battery aging rate, with low-temperature conditions showing the most pronounced aging effects. The study also explores the mechanisms of multi-stress coupling on battery aging, providing a theoretical basis for optimizing the operation strategies of energy storage batteries.
