Enabling Communication for Paralyzed Individuals Using Morse Code
Individuals with paralysis often struggle to express themselves for essential communication. This assistive system leverages Morse code to facilitate effective interaction. Two push buttons allow users to generate dots and dashes with minimal movement. These inputs are processed into text and converted into speech using a Text-to-Speech (TTS) converter. An I2S amplifier ensures clear audio output, while a display provides visual confirmation, improving accessibility. In addition to communication, the system supports health monitoring with integrated sensors, including DHT11 for temperature, SPO2 for oxygen levels, a heart rate sensor, and an NIR sensor. These sensors continuously collect real-time health data, transmitting it via Wi-Fi to an IoT-based platform. This allows caregivers to remotely monitor the user's health status, enabling timely medical intervention when needed. This cost-effective, scalable solution significantly enhances the independence of individuals with mobility impairments. By combining efficient communication with real-time health tracking, it improves both quality of life and healthcare accessibility.
