A Transformerless High-Voltage Gain DC-DC Converter with Voltage Multiplier in Continuous Conduction Mode

A two-phase interleaved DC-DC boost converter is presented in this paper, which achieves a high voltage gain with low voltage stresses on power components. This study introduces a transformerless high-voltage gain (HVG) DC-DC converter featuring voltage multipliers in the continuous conduction mode (CCM). Where high voltage conversion is critical, the methodology further consists of circuit topology design, circuit performance analysis, and validation of the circuit using PLECS software. The proposed topology was simulated to convert 10 V to 200 V DC with reduced voltage stress in the switches and diodes. Applications involving renewable energy, such as solar photovoltaics (PV), can benefit from this topology. The total results acquired through calculations, simulations, and experimentation demonstrate the validity of the proposed analysis of the topology in CCM. This study's outcome not only sheds light on the proposed converter but also addresses the potential of contributing to sustainable energy solutions.
