Simulation Analysis of Operational Factors Affecting Alkaline Electrolysis Hydrogen Production Systems
This study established a semi-physical simulation model of an alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production system using Simulink to systematically analyze the influence mechanisms of key operational parameters, including current intensity, system pressure, and valve opening, on system performance. The results indicate that current intensity has a dual effect on hydrogen production rate and gas purity-while increasing current enhances hydrogen production, it also intensifies cross-permeation of gases across the membrane. Elevated system pressure significantly enhances gas dissolution and diffusion in the electrolyte, leading to a decline in product gas purity. Additionally, the sensitivity of hydrogen-side valve opening to pressure regulation is 40% higher than that of the oxygen side. The study elucidates the operational characteristics of alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production systems, providing theoretical foundations and technical support for system optimization design and operational control.
