Efficient Dynamic Comparison-Based Dictionaries with Working-Set Property: A New Approach
This paper introduces a novel approach to dynamic comparison-based dictionaries that incorporates the working-set property, aimed at minimizing the number of comparisons needed for efficient search operations. A solution proposition is data structure that ensures each search operation requires only a little, constant number of comparisons relative to the size of the working set, offering a significant improvement over current methodologies that typically require more comparisons. This approach gives a efficient way to manage dynamic dictionaries, improving both theoretical understanding and practical use in computing. This research open up new possibilities to explore more on optimizing data structures for real-world cases.
