Evaluation of Reliable Power Supply Capabilities for Urban Flexible Interconnected Distribution Networks
In new-type power systems, system reliability is increasingly critical due to the dynamic nature of power supply and load demands. This research proposes a framework to evaluate reliable power supply capacities in urban distribution networks, especially for new flexible distribution networks using flexible interconnection devices (FIDs). By establishing indices and integrating fault self-healing features of flexible interconnection systems, we quantify reliability improvements across different architectures. Case studies on AC single-loop, double-loop, and single- and double-loop flexible interconnected networks using FIDs demonstrate that the double-loop architecture provides superior reliability and service availability. This work combines component-level modelling, minimum cutset theory, and system-level metrics, providing insights for optimizing urban network reliability in new power systems.
