Development of Long Range Remote Controlled Robot Using LoRa E5 Mini
In the age of Industry 4.0, remotely controlling devices from a long distance without consuming much power is a major challenge. This paper presents the development of a microcontroller-based circuit to remotely control an agricultural robot. The remote control can be done using various communication protocols such as GSM, Wi- Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa, etc. Since the robot will be used in an agricultural field, the LoRa protocol is ideal for the control system because of its extensive range and minimal power usage. A Node-RED application is used to send the control signals to the LoRa W Angateway via the Internet. The remote control signals are transmitted by the gateway and received by the LoRa transceiver. The operations corresponding to the control signal are performed in real-time.
