Research on a Novel High-Speed Control Algorithm for Automotive Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors
The operating smoothness under high-speed operating conditions has a significant impact on the overall performance and service life of of automotive permanent magnet synchronous motors. This paper analyzes the design principle of a current loop decoupling controller based on a simulation model of permanent magnet synchronous motors, which is aimed at the phenomenon that the vector-control motors' direct current bias problem becomes more serious with the increasing of running speed. To address the issue of direct current bias superimposed on the high-speed phase current of the motor, a new complex vector method is introduced for current decoupling control. The simulation test results show that the internal model decoupling algorithm has a significant effect on suppressing direct current bias. Therefore, the article conducts bench tests with the above new control algorithm has been injected into motor controller unit. The test data shows that the equivalent virtual resistance control method using complex vector method can effectively balance the output torque disturbance, and promote the smoothing operation of the motor.
