Enhancing Cultural and Educational Experiences with 5G-Driven Augmented Reality: A Case Study of Taiwan's Beigang Mazu Pilgrimage Digital Integration
This study explored the application of 5G and AR technologies in the Beigang Mazu Pilgrimage in Taiwan to enhance participation and educational effectiveness. The findings indicate that these technologies significantly improved participants' immersion and interactive experiences, creating new possibilities for cultural transmission and education. By combining a case study with qualitative analysis, the study employed data collection methods such as field observation, participant interviews, and document analysis to gain a deeper understanding of the use and impact of technology in cultural activities. The results suggest that technology integration has reshaped the presentation of traditional cultural activities, provided more engaging participation opportunities, and introduced innovative approaches for modernizing cultural education. This study is expected to serve as a valuable reference for the digitalization and modernization of traditional cultural activities.
