Scale Assessment of Distributed Photovoltaic Integration Into 10kV Distribution Grid Considering Current Protection Configuration Invariance
This paper proposes a method to assess the capacity of distributed photovoltaic (DPV) integration in 10 kV distribution grids without altering existing protection configurations, addressing potential misoperation issues. The impact of DPV on fault current characteristics is analyzed, and boundary conditions for protection misoperation are discussed. A calculation method for DPV capacity limits is proposed and validated through case studies of typical 10 kV C and D power supply areas and the 10 kV Gulong Line. The findings support optimizing DPV integration, promoting renewable energy and grid protection coordination.
