Research on Power Supply Technology of Coal Shearer Sensor Based on Thermoelectric Power Generation
When the shearer is working, there is a temperature difference between the mechanical transmission system with high power density in the rocker arm, and the thermoelectric effect can be used to convert the heat energy into electric energy to supply power to the rocker arm sensor. Based on the energy harvesting technology and the actual working conditions of the coal shearer as well as the temperature distribution characteristics of the arm, a thermoelectric power generation system suitable for the coal shearer was designed. The structure of the thermoelectric generation (TEG) sheet and the heat dissipation device were improved. The LTC3108 energy harvesting management chip was adopted to manage the collected energy and provide stable electrical energy for the sensor. Finally, the electric energy collected by the system under the temperature difference of the shearer rocker arm is calculated by experiments, which proves the feasibility of the system and provides a new idea for solving the power supply problem of shearer sensor.
