An Efficient Wireless Power and Communication Transfer System with Separate Coils

An effective wireless power transfer system with separate coils is proposed, which can realize power and communication without interference. The key of the design is to use square power coils and ” 8 ” communication coils to ensure the energy and data are transmitted simultaneously. The method can realize the decoupling of the magnetic field by optimizing the coils, and reducing the difficulty of communication circuit design. The power coils and communication coils are simulated and analyzed respectively. Finally, a 15 kW prototype is built. As a result, the power can transfer at the distance of 30-35 cm to achieve high power transmission. In addition, the communication waveform shows that the data can be transmitted normally. The effectiveness of decoupling transmission between power and communication coils is verified by simulation and experiment.
