CMES: A Web-Based Course Material Evaluation System

This study focuses on a systematic approach to evaluating course materials with the goal of streamlining the process of course material evaluation for adoption. The primary objective is to facilitate a comprehensive and objective evaluation process that benefits all stakeholders involved in the academic environment. To achieve this, the study involved interviews with key parties involved in the Course Material Evaluation process. These interviews helped gather valuable insights and information regarding the existing procedures, as well as the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) that detail the steps involved in evaluating course materials. Furthermore, the study employed the Rapid Application Development (RAD) software methodology to ensure a quick and efficient development process for the system. RAD's iterative approach allowed frequent feedback and continuous refinement, ensuring that the system was well-aligned with user needs and preferences. Additionally, the study utilized Stratified Sampling to determine the appropriate number of respondents for the User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring that the feedback gathered was representative of different user groups. By combining these methodologies, the implementation of the project is expected to significantly streamline the process of evaluating course materials for adoption. The system's integration into the evaluation process not only helps faculty deliver better content but also complements students' educational experience by ensuring that the materials they receive are of the highest quality and relevance to their studies.
