Analysis of an IoT-Based Multi-Agent Relay Protection System and Cooperative Control Strategies
In modern power systems, relay protection plays a crucial role in maintaining the grid's safety and stability, and its importance cannot be overstated. However, as power systems grow more complex and intelligent, traditional relay protection methods are increasingly inadequate. The emergence of Internet of Things (IoT) technology presents new opportunities for advancing relay protection. IoT technology enables device interconnection and information sharing through sensors, communication networks, and data processing techniques, providing robust support for the collaborative control of intelligent relay protection systems. Additionally, Multi-agent deep reinforcement learning algorithms can facilitate continuous interaction and learning, enhancing the dynamic perception capabilities of protective relay systems and their adaptability to the power system environment. These intelligent agents can make optimized relay protection decisions based on dynamic changes within the system. This paper analyzes the current status and challenges of multi-agent relay protection technology and explores its practical applications in smart grids.
