Resilience Assessment of Transmission Network Considering Aging Effects and Cascading Failures
Traditional resilience evaluation methods for transmission networks often fail to account for the aging effects of the network and the cascading failures. To address this issue, this paper proposes a novel resilience evaluation method that considers both the aging effects and cascading failures of transmission networks under typhoon disturbances. Firstly, a dual-time-scale failure evolution model for transmission networks is introduced, which explicitly incorporates the aging characteristics of the transmission networks. Secondly, two resilience indices are proposed, tailored to the temporal resolution of transmission networks: the vulnerability rate and the recovery rate. Additionally, a resilience index that considers different service lives of the transmission networks is developed. The overall framework and process for the resilience assessment of transmission networks are also established. Finally, simulation results on the IEEE 39-node system demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively evaluate the resilience of transmission networks with varying service lives.
