Parameter Identification Method of PMSG Based on Sub-Supersynchronous Oscillation Response

With the swift advancement and maturation of wind power technology, the sub/supersynchronous oscillation problem has become one of the important factors to consider whether wind power can be safely and stably connected with the electrical grid. To accurately describe the sub/supersynchronous oscillation problem of permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) wind turbines after they are connected with the power grid, this paper uses a differential evolution (DE) to identify the key control parameters of PMSG wind turbines considering the control characteristics of PMSG. The proposed method's effectiveness was validated through electromagnetic transient simulations conducted in MATLAB Simulink. The results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed method is capable of swiftly and efficiently identifying the PI parameters. This applies to both the inner and outer loops of the PMSG. The method works within the grid-side dual-loop control system. This method offers significant reference value for detecting the oscillation source of PMSG wind turbines during grid connection, as well as for improving the stability of wind power systems integrated into the grid.
