An Efficient Trible-Band Metamaterial Perfect Absorber for Terahertz Communication

A miniature metamaterial perfect absorber with over 90% absorbance at triple bands has been demonstrated in this paper. Two C-shaped resonators are positioned on opposite sides of the absorber structure to improve the response. The absorber’s entire area is only 2 × 2 × 0.8 mm3. At 2.9 THz, 5 THz, and 6.8 THz, the three prominent bands are attained, with peak absorbance of 9.8%, 97%, and 92%, accordingly. Furthermore, with oblique exposure, the suggested structure preserves improved absorption resilience for both the TE and TM polarizations across incident orientations up to 45°. Furthermore, it is appropriate for a variety of applications due to its outstanding absorption characteristics and optimal absorber layout.
