Design of Honeycomb Wide Bandstop FSS for C/X Band Application
The proposed work presents a 2-D Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) honeycomb pattern that aims at stopband frequency range of 4.4-9.6 GHz. The structure is implemented on FR-4 substrate, and focuses on key performance attributes such as wide stopband transmission, reflection coefficient, and bandwidth. The results showed a fractional bandwidth of 88.7%, rendering the features highly effective for wide stopband coverage and supporting the wide range of applications. The FSS design provides signal improvement in various C and X band applications.
