Optimized Rectangular MSPA Design And Simulation For Efficient RCM Application In X-Band
This paper work presents the design and simulation of a Rectangular microstrip patch antenna(MSPA) for RCM(radar countermeasures) at x band frequencies. Rectangular Microstrip patch antenna is suited for platforms with size and weight constraints, such as UAVs, drones, and portable devices; its low profile design enables for simple integration into vehicles, planes, and ships. Radar countermeasures are an important component in electronic warfare, which includes 'Electronic Attack, Electronic Protection, and Electronic Support'. The design dimensions for the presented antenna is 18 X 21 X 1 mm3. The proposed Microstrip Patch antenna using Roger 5880 as substrate with dielectric constant of 2.2 is chosen for its minimal power loss, high performance at high frequencies, critical for effective jamming or spoofing operations, suitable for radar countermeasures applications, resonates efficiently at 9.6825 GHZ and 11.47 GHZ (X-band) .
