Research on Anti-Misalignment Characteristics of Capacitive Power Transfer Systems Based on Hybrid Topology

This paper proposes a hybrid topology-based Capacitive Power Transfer (CPT) system to address the output instability issue under misalignment and load variation conditions. Firstly, an eight-plate coupler model with dual-transmitter and dual-receiver (DIDO) configuration is constructed. A diagonal-plate design is proposed to cancel the cross-decoupling of the DIDO coupler. Secondly, a hybrid compensation topology combining LCL-S and S-LCL is employed. The output characteristics of the two compensation networks are complementary, enabling the CPT system based on the hybrid topology to achieve load-independent output under conditions of coupling and load variation. Finally, a 1-kW experimental prototype is built, and the results show that the system exhibits a quasi-constant-voltage. When the coupler is misaligned by ±80mm in the x-direction <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\pm \mathbf{60}\sqrt{2}\text{mm}$</tex> in the bisector direction of the x/y axes, and -Smm-Pmm in the z-direction, the output voltage fluctuation of the system is less than 10%. When the load resistance varies between 20Ω and 100Ω, the output fluctuation of the system is less than 18%. The maxi-mum efficiency of the system reaches 88.57%.
