The Torque Ripple Reduction of Switched Reluctance Motor Based on Torque Sharing Method Involving Current Response Performance
In this paper, a novel torque sharing method for torque ripple reduction in switched reluctance motors (SRMs) is proposed. At low speeds, the proposed method generates the reference current based on objective function with a single-objective such that the torque ripple reduction is achieved with minimal copper losses; at high speeds, excitation in advance is used to further minimize copper loss. Compared with the traditional torque sharing function (TSF) method, method that directly generates the reference current through the objective function can effectively suppress torque ripple and reduce copper losses due to fully considering the current response performance. Higher torque output capability and lower torque ripple are also obtained, especially at high speed. The superiority of the proposed method is verified by comparing with the traditional torque distribution function method under different operating conditions.
