Smart solar tracking:Fuzzy logic and MPPT System

This paper presents an innovative smart solar tracking system integrated with a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm based on Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC). By dynamically adjusting the solar panel’s orientation throughout the day, the dual-axis tracker maximizes sunlight exposure. The novelty of this approach lies in the incorporation of fuzzy logic for both precise panel alignment and MPPT optimization, enabling real-time adjustments to changing sunlight angles and varying environmental conditions. The FLC-based MPPT ensures optimal power extraction, improving system adaptability and efficiency. Experimental results under varying weather scenarios revealed a 25% increase in energy efficiency over traditional, fixed-position solar panels, and a 15% improvement in power output compared to standard MPPT approaches like Perturb and Observe (PO). These findings highlight the potential to enhance the overall performance and efficiency of solar tracking systems.
