Nine-Level Boost MLI for small scale PV applications
A key trend in the changing energy environment is highlighted by the rise in renewable energy. In small-scale solar photovoltaics (PV), conventional methods use DC-AC converters for independent AC loads and grid integration, a DC-DC converter to increase PV panel voltages as a front-end device. For small-scale solar PV applications, this work suggests a nine-level inverter that with quadruple boost uses a switched capacitor approach with self-voltage balancing to provide efficient voltage elevation without requiring a front-end converter. A multilevel inverter topology with quadruple boost is also presented. Harmonics reduction has been achieved through the inclusion of a passive filter in simulations, further enhancing performance. The proposed system has been validated through MATLAB simulations. This method addresses the growing significance of renewable energy in contemporary power systems and constitutes a breakthrough in small-scale solar PV integration, promoting efficient and sustainable energy solutions.
