Study of Offshore Wind Power Construction Constraints Based on Discrete Event Simulation
Offshore wind power projects have long construction cycles and are influenced by a wide range of factors. Discrete event-driven approaches are typically employed to design construction simulation management systems. However, existing systems lack accuracy and practical guidance for construction projects due to insufficient consideration of offshore wind power construction factors. To address these limitations, this paper investigates influencing factors that arise during the actual construction process of offshore wind power projects. We propose a method for integrating constraints into a discrete-event simulation system based on two key factors: meteorological conditions and resource availability. A construction simulation system is developed and applied to the Monson offshore wind power project in Laos as a case study. The results demonstrate that the system effectively identifies potential construction delays, provides actionable insights for project scheduling, and enhances the reliability of simulation outcomes.
