Research on Equivalent Modeling of Variable Frequency Drive Loads for Electromechanical Transient Simulation of Large Power Grid
With the development of power electronics technology, rectifier and inverter technology are widely used in the load side. Among them, the proportion of power electronic load based on inverter load is increasing year by year, which has a significant impact on load characteristics. However, the traditional comprehensive load model is difficult to accurately describe the load, which affects the electromechanical transient simulation accuracy of large power grid. Therefore, it is urgent to establish an inverter load model suitable for electromechanical transient simulation of large power grid to improve the accuracy of power system simulation. In this paper, based on the detailed introduction of the main circuit structure and operation mechanism of the inverter load, the electromechanical transient simulation model of the inverter load is proposed, and the identification method of the model parameters is given. The PSCAD platform is used to compare the response results of the electromagnetic transient model and the electromechanical transient model under different disturbances, and the effectiveness of the proposed model is verified.
