Numerical Simulation Analysis of Wind-Induced Response of Substation Framework Lightning Rods
Lightning rods are a key component of lightning protection equipment in substations. Their towering structure is prone to vibrations under wind loads, which poses potential risks to the structure and subsequently affects the safe and stable operation of the power system. This paper focuses on a typical 330 kV substation framework lightning rod in Ningxia, establishing a simulation model using ANSYS finite element software. Modal analysis and quasi-static analysis of windinduced response were conducted on lightning rods with different structural compositions. The study investigates the displacement and stress distribution of the lightning rod under wind loads, analyzes the vibration characteristics of the substation lightning rod, and identifies its structural weaknesses and wind-induced response features. The research results provide theoretical references and technical support for the design and operation of substation lightning rods, thereby ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
