Scheduling Strategies for High Renewable Penetration Power Systems With Shared Energy Storage
As renewable energy experiences continuous development, the proportion of renewable energy in power systems has been steadily increasing. However, the variability and unpredictability of renewable energy output pose challenges to the reliable and secure operation of power system. Energy storage serves as an effective way and device for mitigating renewable energy fluctuations, but current energy storage resources face issues such as low utilization rates and poor operational efficiency. In addressing these challenges, this research first proposes a shared energy storage system(SESS) operation scheduling mechanism for high-proportion renewable energy power systems, breaking the traditional scattered and independent use pattern of energy storage resources. Secondly, a robust unit commitment and robust economic dispatch model based on worst-case scenario identification is proposed to coordinate resource optimization configuration across two-time scales: day-ahead and real-time. Finally, simulations are conducted using the IEEE 30-node standard power system for verification.
