Fault Characteristics Analysis of Offshore Wind Power Flexible DC Transmission System
This paper discusses the modeling and control strategies of offshore wind power flexible DC transmission system, with a focus on the analyzing of the structure and control modes of wind turbine and multilevel modular converter (MMC) and their control modes. This paper thoroughly researches the fault ride-through (FRT) strategies and discusses in detail the impacts to the voltage of the wind generator under different fault locations. Through simulation analysis, make detail analysis of the fault characteristics, which provides theoretical support and technical reference for the safe and stable operation of the offshore wind power flexible DC transmission system. The study highlights the importance of integrating effective FRT strategies in offshore wind farms and proposes optimized control methods for enhancing system performance during fault events. This work contributes to the advancement of offshore wind power integration into the electrical grid, addressing key challenges such as fault resilience and voltage stability.
