Influencia de un sistema interactivo con retroalimentación auditiva en el aprendizaje del idioma inglés en personas con deficiencia visual

This study investigated the influence of an interactive system with auditory feedback on English language learning in visually impaired people. It was hypothesized that such a system significantly improves English listening and speaking skills in this population. The research adopted a pre-experimental design (G: O1-X-O2) with a sample of 24 participants with various degrees of visual impairment, selected from the Pampas Hospital, Peru. Pre- and post-intervention tests were carried out to evaluate listening and speaking skills, using a system developed under the DESED methodology and evaluated with the ISO/IEC 25010 standard. The results showed an improvement of 31.94% in listening ability (pre-test: 24.54%; post-test: 56.48%) and 38.64% in speaking ability (pre-test: 15.15%; post-test: 53.79%), confirming the general hypothesis (p < 0.05). The system obtained a quality rating of 9.36/10. These findings highlight the potential of inclusive technologies to overcome learning barriers in people with visual impairments, opening new educational and social opportunities.
