Parallel Model of Turning for an Automated Control System

The accuracy of turning may be improved by means of a parallel model of cutting. The factors affecting the machining precision and the structure of the model are considered. Analysis of sensor data and real time modeling permits the compensation of machining errors and improvement in product quality.
