Assessment of the Quality of Nickel Alloy Surface Layers after Grinding with Various Modes of Minimum Quantity Lubrication Supply
Grinding nickel alloys with the technology of minimum quantity lubrication with additional air cooling ensures minimal impact on the machined surface: a thin layer of crushed grains formed during machining, an insignificant hardening effect, and a low level of oxidation of the surface layer. It was found that a change in lubricant consumption has a significant effect on clogging of the working surface of the wheel, which ultimately affects the morphology of the machined surface.
