Pixelando la Historia: Japón y la diplomacia cultural a través de los videojuegos
Following the aftermath of the war, Japan was one of the countries that had to seek new strategies and pathways to redefine its international image and regain its lost influence. However, during that time, its approach was different: the world would continue to hear about Japan—not because of its wartime past, but through its soft power (a country's ability to influence others through culture, values, ideas, or appeal, rather than through force or military might). By strategically leveraging this resource and taking advantage of globalization, Japan has not only promoted its traditions across continents but also built a global community around cultural products such as video games.
