At the club, Emma takes a photo of me with the violetlightning bolt. We have dim sum in the morning in thecity, only this never happened. I once had a favoritememory of fishing with my father at the lake. Thisnever happened either. Rather the ice in my town fellin great sheets. Reamed like thick bales of paper onour roof, which leaked. It was always leaking. Mymother kept a blue bucket beneath the hole the watermade. She lives alone now. She keeps saying she needsa smaller house to live in and the hole keeps gettinglarger. One day the bathtub falls through the ceiling. My mother trapped in the rubble for days. Though thisnever happens, there is a photo of my bare shouldersglowing against a bar. I look young and beautiful. LikeI have escaped my cloak somewhere.
