Mucocele Arising from The Glands of Blandin and Nuhn: A Case-Based Perspective
Abstract This case report describes a rare occurrence of a mucocele originating from the Blandin and Nuhn glands, located on the anterior ventral aspect of the tongue. Mucoceles in this region are uncommon, accounting for <10% of reported cases. The patient presented with a swelling, which was diagnosed based on clinical evaluation and histopathological examination. The lesion was surgically excised, followed by an uneventful postoperative recovery. This case underscores the rarity of mucoceles in the glands of Blandin and Nuhn and highlights the importance of precise diagnosis and management in such cases.
