Combating hate speech: challenges and solutions in detection techniques
Hate speech constitute serious threat to societal adherences and personal welfare, mainly in the age of information where social media platforms expand their extant. This paper scrutinizes the varied challenges in detection hate speech, containing the vagueness of language, ethnic surroundings, and speedy expansion of jargon and cryptographic language. We look at machine learning models, conventional rule-based methods, and more recent developments in deep learning and natural language processing (NLP) but all these techniques and algorithms have their own shortcomings due to numerous challenges. So in this study we investigate creative solutions to address these problems, such as the incorporation of community-driven moderation, context-aware algorithms, and multidisciplinary methods that combine linguistic analysis with artificial intelligence. By tackling these issues, this study hopes to aid in the creation of hate speech detection systems that are more equitable and successful.
