Analyzing cost-effective decision making in rigid pavement design through MCDA and LCCA
Cost-effective decision-making for rigid pavement design is crucial for ensuring long-term sustainability and economic efficiency. Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) and Life-Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) have been used in this research to compare and analyse pavement design alternatives in accordance with cost, durability, performance, and environmental impact [1], [19]. MCDA has presented a systematic method for ranking alternatives in accordance with weighted factors, while LCCA measures economic feasibility in terms of cost in the long run through initial construction cost, maintenance cost, and rehabilitation cost [3], [20], [2].
