IoT-based transient power monitoring and measurement system for solar inverters
This study describes an IoT-based transient power monitoring and measuring system built for solar inverters. This system gathers and monitors real-time voltage and current data using the ESP32 microcontroller and the Thing Speak IoT platform to examine transient power changes in renewable energy systems. The system makes use of the ZMPT101B voltage sensor and the SCT-013-030 current sensor, which are adjusted for the ESP32’s ADC limits via rectifier circuits to provide exact data collecting. A 65W laptop charger was employed as a load during testing, verifying the system’s functioning and ability to capture reliable readings. The data produced enables real-time monitoring and provides insights into power consumption patterns and anomalies, hence promoting better energy management in solar inverter applications.
