Evolution of cloud computing, impact, challenges and future prospects

Advances by cloud computing now revolutionize computing to access large-scale, well-priced computers. This paper considers the potential use of clouds across a diversity of sectors-the healthcare, finance, education, and e-commerce and whether they enable increased efficiency at operational levels or enhanced data usability or cooperation levels. It is aware of several advantages associated with its construction, like weaknesses on issues, such as insecure vulnerabilities in their data, inefficiencies in terms of resource consumption, and it will continue. This research study focuses on and explores crucial cloud computing models, like IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS and numerous deployment options: public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud. Besides, emerging trends such as AI-driven cloud optimization and serverless and edge computing, whose effects on the adoption of clouds are in research. The performance, cost-effectiveness and security aspects of major cloud service providers, including AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud are compared. The findings suggest that, while cloud computing facilitates digital transformation, firms must address challenges such as security risks and sustainability before realizing benefits. This study contributes to the existing knowledge base by providing a comprehensive study of cloud computing applications, benefits, drawbacks as well as the future of cloud technology in many sectors.
