In the Middle of Gastric Perforation Lies an Opportunity for Endoscopic Closure
Acute gastric perforation can be either spontaneous or iatrogenic due to therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Early recognition and timely endoscopic closure can prevent mortality and morbidity. We report a case of gastric perforation after deployment of a self-expanding metallic stent in a patient of carcinoma esophagus recognized immediately and successfully closed using X-TACK device.
