Television has been and remains one of the most popular channels for audiences to receive information and access entertainment and educational content. Our objective is to examine the main areas of dissertation research on television, paying particular attention to the last fifteen years, a period marked by the crucial factor of digitalization. This term encompasses the near-total transition of journalistic activities, media enterprises, and the media industry to digital technologies, covering both content creation and distribution/storage.
