Potential of Applying Historical Reconstruction in the Cultural and Educational Activities of Open Air Museums
This article investigates the efficacy of historical reenactment as an educational tool in Russian open-air museums. Using examples from Siberian museums (Kuzbass Museum-Reserve “Tomskaya Pisanitsa,” Architectural and Ethnographic Museum “Angara Village named after O. Leonov,” Museum and Historical Park “Omsk Fortress”), the study analyzes the practical aspects of this method and its contribution to the popularization of cultural heritage.
