A Multi-Criteria Evaluation Framework for Fighter Cockpit Ergonomics Based on Integrated Fuzzy Combination Weighting and Fuzzy Cocoso with Bonferroni Functions
The ergonomic design of fighter cockpits is critical to reducing pilot loads and significantly impacts flight safety. However, the ergonomic design elements of the fighter cockpit are unclear and incomplete, and no unified framework exists to evaluate the cockpit’s ergonomics during the preliminary design stage. Thus, an integrated framework is proposed to solve the cockpit’s ergonomics evaluation problem during the preliminary design stage. The integrated framework consists of a hybrid weight determination model using fuzzy level-based weight assessment (F-LBWA) and fuzz entropy (F-Entropy), and a decision-making model using fuzzy combined compromise solution with Bonferroni functions (F-CoCoSo’B) method. During the framework’s application, the pilot’s operation of the fighter is simulated, and the pilot’s posture is evaluated by eight criteria of the bearing capacities of the hip, shoulder, wrist, knee, and lower back force. The ergonomic performances of different fighter cockpit alternatives are ranked by using the proposed framework based on the pilot’s dynamic operating posture. The results indicate that the evaluation framework has good rationality and robustness, which provides new insights into fighter cockpit optimization and development.
