EFFECT OF MEGAFOL AND KVANTIS BIOSTIMULANTS ON PRODUCTIVITY AND GRAIN QUALITY OF WINTER SOFT WHEAT IN KAMA REGION OF THE REPUBLIC OF TATARSTAN
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the Megafol and Kvantis biostimulants on the development of productivity factors, yield and grain quality indicators of Skipetr and Fotinya winter soft wheat varieties in Kama region of the Republic of Tatarstan. Field experiments were conducted in 2022-2023 on gray forest medium loam soil of Agrobiotechnopark Scientific and Production Center of Kazan State Agrarian University. The experimental scheme included four options: control (without spraying), Megafol (2 l/ha), Kvantis (2 l/ha) and a combined treatment of Megafol (1 l/ha + 1 l/ha Kvantis) per flag leaf phase. This was combined with a base fertilizer of N32P32K32 and an early spring top dressing of N34 under a single plant protection system. It was found that the varietal features were mainly manifested in the formation of the mass of 1000 grains and the mass of grain from the ear: Skipter variety had larger grains, while Fotinya was characterized by increased productive tillering and a more pronounced response of crop structure elements to the application of biostimulants. The most effective treatment was the combined Megafol (1 l/ha) + Kvantis (1 l/ha), providing the maximum yield increase: 7.39 t/ha (+0.50 t/ha; 7.3% compared to the control) for Skipetr and 7.14 t/ha (+0.41 t/ha; 6.1%) for Fotinya. Moreover, Fotinya variety showed an increase in wet gluten content to 35.1-36.5% compared to 33.5% in the control, while Skipetr maintained its initial gluten level (32.8-32.9%) despite increased yield. The results demonstrate the potential effectiveness of using Megafol and Kvantis biostimulants in winter wheat cultivation technology in Kama zone of the Republic of Tatarstan.
