Therefore, it is essential to cultivate their spirit of striving and reserve youthful strength for the modernization of socialism. However, the spirit of striving among young people is being challenged by youth subculture, showing a weakening trend and giving rise to the phenomenon of “pseudo-striving”, which has shaken the important position of striving spirit education in ideological and political education. Thus, it is particularly important to deeply understand and distinguish youth subculture, profoundly perceive and comprehend the connotation and contemporary significance of the spirit of striving, and thereby identify the predicaments faced by striving spirit education in the context of youth subculture and formulate corresponding countermeasures.
