Social and economic damage (daly) from malignant neoplasms of female genital organs in the Tomsk region

The purpose of the study is to assess direct and indirect economic damage from cervical, uterine, and ovarian cancer in the Tomsk region. The maximum loss of DALY values for cervical cancer was in the range of 35–49 years, for uterine cancer and ovarian cancer in the range of 55–69 years. The highest expenditure was allocated to the treatment of ovarian cancer (325.24 million rubles), followed by lower amounts for uterine cancer (205.5 million rubles) and cervical cancer (189.8 million rubles). The total economic impact (including direct and indirect costs) amounted to 3.9 billion rubles for cervical cancer, 2.8 billion rubles for ovarian cancer, and 2.3 billion rubles for uterine cancer. The findings of the study, quantified in monetary terms, are recommended for use in optimizing the allocation of budget funds under current conditions.
