Through analyzing the translation methods and principles of idiomatic expressions in Chinese and Uyghur languages in “The Knockoutl”, this paper examines their successful experiences and shortcomings. During the translation process, the translator needs to take into account both language conversion and the cultural metaphor and thinking conveyed behind idiomatic expressions. In response to existing problems, suggestions for improvement are proposed to achieve the best effect of Chinese-Uyghur idiomatic expressions translation. This paper aims to provide practical case references, reveal the rules and techniques of language conversion, expand the theory and practical application of Chinese-Uyghur idiomatic expressions translation, promote the cultural exchange between Uyghur and Chinese, and promote the integrated development of language art and aesthetic value in cross-cultural communication.
