Intrinsic mechanisms for structural coherency and electrochemical excellence in layered-spinel Li–Mn–O cathodes
Stable layered–spinel composites form with Li/Mn tuning, shifting Li 1+ y Mn 2− y O 4 spinel composition toward Li 4 Mn 5 O 12 to reduce lattice mismatch with Li 2 MnO 3 , enhancing coherency and Li diffusion—guiding Li- and Mn-rich composite cathode design.
