INTEGRATION OF MOBILE TECHNOLOGIES INTO TEACHING: PEDAGOGICAL, TECHNICAL AND ETHICAL ASPECTS

The article examines the issue of integrating mobile learning into the educational process in institutions of higher education. The relevance of the study is driven by the rapid development of digital technologies that are transforming the educational environment and reshaping learning approaches. Special attention is given to the opportunities offered by mobile learning – flexibility, personalization, learner autonomy, interactivity, and access to learning materials regardless of time and location. The study provides an analysis of the evolution of mobile learning: from the use of personal digital assistants and basic educational apps in the early 2000’s to contemporary intelligent platforms that integrate artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, big data, and gamification. The author highlights the transformation of the teacher’s role in the mobile learning environment and the growing importance of digital competence among both students and educators. Particular emphasis is placed on the barriers that hinder the effective implementation of mobile learning: technical (unstable internet connection, unequal access to devices), pedagogical (distractions, poor quality of some applications, interface complexity), social (digital inequality), and ethical (protection of personal data, excessive digital dependency, privacy concerns). The study argues that the effective use of mobile learning requires a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach that combines pedagogical innovation, the development of digital infrastructure, the cultivation of digital culture, and the establishment of appropriate regulatory frameworks. The article also outlines the prospects for the future development of mobile learning, including the integration of artificial intelligence for personalized instruction, the use of virtual and augmented reality to create immersive learning environments, the application of big data for tailoring educational pathways, and gamification as a tool for enhancing motivation. The findings indicate that mobile learning holds significant potential for improving education; however, its successful implementation depends on strategic planning, institutional support for instructors, the development of digital literacy, and the assurance of equal access to digital resources.
