The article shows the study of the problem of using creative technologies in the training of future teachers in higher pedagogical education institutions, which allows for professional and creative implementation in the educational process. Recently, there have been significant changes in the direction of teacher training, but little attention is paid to the issue of training future teachers of technological education to use creative technologies in the educational process of higher education. Creative technologies in education is an approach to learning that encourages students to think outside the box, generate new ideas and solve problems in a creative way using a variety of methods and tools. A methodology for training future teachers of labor education and technology using creative technologies is proposed, which consists of three stages. Vocational training is a process in which one comprehends, optimizes learning, and takes care of an objective analysis of educational outcomes that ensure the possibility of successful work in a particular profession when studying pedagogical and special disciplines. In our study, we proposed the discipline “Cooking Technology”. The article presents examples of creative tasks for students of the course “Cooking Technology” using AR/VR technologies that will help them deepen their knowledge, develop creativity, and gain a unique learning experience. Information and communication technologies, multimedia, virtual and augmented reality are actively used to stimulate creativity. There are a huge number of creative learning technologies: work in pairs; rotating (interchangeable) threes; carousel; small group work; aquarium; unfinished sentence; brainstorming; Brownian motion; decision tree; trial on your own behalf; public hearings; role-playing (business) game; press method; take a stand; discussion; debate; situation analysis (case method), projects, etc. Tasks using augmented reality (AR): «AR Assistant in the Kitchen», «Chef in Another Dimension», «Virtual Kitchen of the Future», and «Living Food Presentation». Higher education students actively participated in the proposed work, expressed interest, quickly completed creative tasks, and actively participated in conversations, debates, and games This indicates that the developed methodology based on the use of AR/VR technologies to develop students’ creative abilities is effective.
